The house is well maintained and supplied with all the necessary amenities. The neighborhood is very quiet; you can sit out front in the screen porch or relax in the back yard while watching the many birds, ducks, and squirrels. The house is suitable for both the young and the old. There are lots of scheduled events throughout the year – make sure you visit the Chamber of Commerce for brochures on things to do on the island and surrounding areas. The island provides many attractions with Assateague Wildlife Refuge just across the bridge; it’s a bird watchers paradise and also where the wild ponies live. Great for hikers and bike riding or rent scooters; there are many trails and miles of beaches to explore. There are plenty of water activities – boating, fishing, crabbing, clamming, jet skis, water tours, etc. – so bring your own toys or you can rent whatever you need.
